Objectives of Theatre Arts 40

1.	To present the basic principles of graphic and three
dimensional design, color theory and perspective drawing as they
relate to the design of stage scenery.

2. To explore the analytical steps necessary to produce the
internal and external research for the design of scenery for a
dramatic production.

3. To explore the practical problems of preparing the necessary
documents and drawings necessary for designing stage scenery.

4. To produce a complete scenic design project which will
demonstrate proficiency in developing a design concept based on
research and producing the necessary floor plans, construction
drawings, renderings, painter's elevations and other associated
documents.

5. To develop an awareness and appreciation for the history of
scenic design styles and procedures.
